Our Main Street is currently undergoing an amazing transformation. Thanks to the City of Rushville's 2016 designation as a "Stellar Community" we are seeing great investment, both public and private, to improve our quality of life and amenities for our community. We have a variety of projects within a 3 block area that can all be seen from the courthouse tower. Those projects include: a new City Center that will house a movie theater, Ivy Tech classes and a new City Hall; a new Farmer's Market and agricultural appreciation mural; a new regional manufacturing training center in cooperation with Work One; two new tax credit housing projects that will restore historic buildings; a new criminal justice center; several private business improvements including a few using the Historic Preservation Grant Fund; a new pocket park at the Library; streetscape improvements on Main Street and trail additions to Morgan Street. On top of all of these, improvements continue to happen at the Riverside Amphitheater where we host an annual concert series. This venue is the southern anchor to our downtown, and although it feels as though you are in a rural setting is just a block from our courthouse, the center of our downtown.
