Olde Town Grove City is a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to create a better downtown through physical improvements, economic development, and marketing efforts. The organization began in the early 2000's working with the PA Main Street Program. Under the guidance of Grow Grove City and Olde Town Grove City organizations, Olde Town boasts tree lined streets, public art, facade improvements, and a safe and beautiful downtown. We host many activities throughout the year including a Wine Walk, Farmers' Market, Grove Fest, Trick or Treat, and An Olde Town Christmas. Thousands of people from all over western PA, eastern OH and beyond, enjoy these events as well as our art. "Bunnies on Broad," a new program, is a book developed locally that tells a story and takes children and families around our Olde Town streets on a scavenger hunt to discover a series of unique bunny sculptures whose stories are told in the book, looking for Lulu, an adventurous bunny. Olde Town is known for its award-winning ten parking sculptures and our four murals, an amazing amount of art for our little town center! The Guthrie Theatre, one of a few historic US movie theatres, is currently being restored by new owner, Veritas Arts, and is set to reopen this summer. Movies, local theatre, and other live art events are planned, which will only add to our cultural arts, beauty, and another reason to visit our downtown. Our award would be used for marketing and, particularly, signage to help bring visitors to our charming, unique downtown; they don't know what they're missing!
