The river runs through it; the courthouse stands over it; lush farm land surrounds it. We dream of murals and streets lined at night by trees aglow with tiny lights. In recent years our quant downtown has seen a resurgence of pride. From new businesses investing in the city, to the nostalgia of the school mascot, the Wildcat, painted at the main intersection, the heart of our community shines through. Throughout the year, our historic downtown comes to life with pride in support of our community with our locally famous Ribfest, our Tomato Festival Parade that travels the streets of downtown and The Witches Brew scavenger hunt that supports a local non-profit. In the past two years, construction has been abound on the streets in our main corridor, making room for extended sidewalks and outdoor dining for downtown eateries, as well as our recent addition of a NORA (Napoleon Outdoor Refreshment Area) district as a way for visitors to enjoy and engage in all our historic town has to offer. These are just a few examples of the amazing amenities our town has for residents and visitors alike, but we want more! We want our main street to literally pulse with beauty and excitement. Winning America's Main Street Contest would help us continue our efforts in doing so. We are proud Midwesterners and our residents have large hearts and the willingness to work hard toward a goal. We are Napoleon, Ohio and our Main Street is ready to continue our "Heartland Values and Flowing Opportunities".
