One of the things that always makes me smile when I think of the Mills 50 District is all of the amazing art projects. It's much like walking through an open air art exhibition and may be the reason why they have the tagline- The Intersection of Creativity + Culture. There are Art Boxes (Painted utility boxes), Art Drains to draw attention to protecting our water sources, Dumpster Art, and many many murals all done by local artists! If I'm having a bad day, it would only take a walk through Mills to change the mood. Mills 50 is a community that has always embraced young creatives, and even named in the "Top 12 Neighborhoods Across America About to Get Crazy Popular," by Thrillist. This district is also dear to my stomach- so many unique restaurants to get a taste of Puerto Rican, Mexican, or Asian cuisines. I know I can always find something different, tasty, and affordable.
